MOOSE RIDERS
Marathon and Big Pine Key
of District 1 are starting up
Moose Riders Groups. They are
in the beginning stages but very
excited about it.
We met with Paul and Laurie Harvey and
Mike Brown of Marathon, and Stump and
Hana Terry of Big Pine Key over Christmas
at the Marathon Lodge. We enjoyed a bit of
“Holiday Cheer” and talked about getting
their group started. The day before we had
stopped by Big Pine Key to enjoy their
Christmas dinner and met the Marathon
Lodge Administrator, Lou. We told him we
had met Paul at the State Convention in October
and had talked about Moose Riders.
Lou was kind enough to call him so we could
set up a meeting for the next day.
Marathon and Big Pine are working on
putting officers in place and we look forward
to hearing more from them in our next issue.
Welcome to our newest and Southernmost
Moose Riders.
While on our holiday excursion, we also
stopped by the Key West Lodge, which like
many other Lodges is struggling to rebuild
after some very unfortunate financial problems.
They are still open for business and
looking forward to coming back strong.
While there we happened to notice one of
their collection of Moose license plates that
made us smile—a plate from our friends I
Dorr, Michigan. Now that’s one heck of
long ride.

Help Mooseheart School win $500,000!!!
A Few Mouse Clicks Mean $500,000 to Mooseheart School ... or Not.

If, by just clicking a computer mouse a few times over five to ten minutes, you could send a HALF-MILLION DOLLARS to help Mooseheart's kids, you'd do it -- wouldn't you?

We sure hope so.

Thanks to Kohl's department stores, that's the opportunity we Moose members have!

Between now and Friday evening, September 3, by just "voting" for Mooseheart School as your "favorite school" on the "Kohl's Cares" page on Facebook, we Moose members can get that $500,000 from Kohl's Cares Foundation for Mooseheart School!

That's $500,000 we then WON'T need to ask from the men and women of the Moose to help operate Mooseheart's school this year!

If you have a Facebook account (easy to set up), if you're 13 or older, and you're a U.S. resident -- just go to http://apps.facebook.com/KohlsCares, follow the directions to vote the maximum allowed FIVE (5) times for Mooseheart School -- and that's all there is to it!

Please ask your spouse, your family and all your friends to do the same!

If Mooseheart School finishes among the top 20 schools in nationwide voting, we'll receive a Kohl's Cares check, payable to Mooseheart School, in the amount of $500,000!

It costs you $0 -- just a few minutes of your time! What an easy way to fulfill our membership obligation to "support Mooseheart with my energy and substance"!

PLEASE don't let this opportunity pass us by! Your Mooseheart students need you to vote, NOW!

Warm fraternal regards,
William B. Airey (Director General) and Scott Hart (Executive Director)
